Recently, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have announced the schedule for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for the year 2023. PSL 2023, which is also referred as PSL 8, will start on the 13th Feb, 2023 with a match between Multan Sultan and Lahore Qalandars. PSL 2023 or PSL 8 will end with the final match, which had to be played on March 19, 2023 but now is moved to March 18, 2023. PSL for 2023 is comprised of total 37 matches which included three women exhibition matches as well.
PSL 8 will be played between six teams which are Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi and the Quetta Gladiators. Also for this year’s PSL, four venues are finalized which are Karachi, Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi.
In Karachi PSL 8 matches will be played at National Stadium Karachi, in Lahore they will be played in Gaddafi Stadium, in multan the chosen venue is Multan Cricket Stadium and in Rawalpindi the matches will be played in Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Update: Final match moved to one day early, as it had to be played on Sunday, March 19, 2023 but now it will be played one day earlier on Saturday, March 18, 2023.
As far as match timings are concerned, the opening match will start at 8:00 pm other than that all night matches will start at 7:30 pm while the day matches will start at 3:30 pm.
All teams will first play each other twice in the tournament and then the four teams with most points will reach the play offs. As far as playoff are concerned, there will be a Qualifier between team 1 and team two and then first eliminator between team 3 and team 4. Second eliminator will between Eliminator 1 winner and Qualifier Runner-up. So final will be played between the Qualifier winner and the Eliminator 2 winner.
As the official main sponsor for the tournament is HBL as always until now, so the tournament is officially named as HBL PSL. PSL has become very popular tournament which takes place in the country on yearly basis. Not only local but players from the different foreign teams participate in PSL matches which take place.
