Lahore Qalandars huge victory over Islamabad United in the match 16 of PSL 8

Another great match in Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8. It was played between Islamabad United and the Lahore Qalandars and it was the match 16 of the tournament. Another great match where at the end Lahore Qalandars came out as victors with huge margin of 110 runs.

Lahore Qalandars won the toss and elected bat first. While batting Abdullah Shafique scored the maximum, 45 runs from 24 balls. Fakhar Zaman scored 36 of 23 balls while Sam Billings scored 33 runs on 23 balls. Sikandar Raza scored 23 and remained not out and everyone else scored less than this. Overall until the end to innings, Lahore Qalandars scored 200 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.

While bowling from Islamabad United side, Tom Curran took 3 wickets, Shadab Khan took 2, Abrar Ahmed and Hassan Ali took one wicket each. All of these bowled 4 overs each. Abrar Ahmed remained most expensive bowler today, as he gave 50 runs. Faheem Ashraf and Zeeshan Zameer also bowled two overs each, however, they were not able to take any wickets.

Islamabad United batting just collapsed right from start. Top scorer was Rahmanullah Gurbaz, he scored just 23 runs while the other opener, scored the second best score of 18 runs. As the openers departed no one else entered double figure score, other than Tom Curran. He also scored just 10 runs. So all team got out after playing just 13.5 overs after scoring just 90 runs. This way Lahore Qalandars lost this match by 110 runs.

From Lahore Qalandars side, David weise took 3 wickets, Rashid Khan and Sikandar Raza took two wickets each, Zaman Khan and Haris Rauf took 1 wicket each. While one player, Hassan Ali was run out by Haris Rauf and keeper Billings.
