CNG dealers go on strike today in Islamabad Rawalpindi Region

This strike have been announced by the all Pakistan association of CNG Dealers and is being observed in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Attock, Jehlam, Gujjar Khan and all areas adjacent to these areas. The strike will be effective from the Monday mid night to the Tuesday mid night. Strike is being observed against the government’s decision of closing down the CNG stations for two days every week in Punjab and NWFP Region. Two more of such strikes are to be observed in different regions of Punjab including a strike on 12th Nov in Lahore Sargodha region and another on 13th Nov on Multan Bhawalpur Region. Earthquake aftershocks from the Hindu Kush range

Few days ago on Oct 23 the Hindu Kush Range observed an earthquake of 6.4 on Richter scale, as reported earlier. Now same Mountain range generating more earthquakes jolting the Pakistan and Afghanistan areas. Several of them are already felt in both Pakistan. The last one felt was the second one in 24 hours and was of 5.0 on the Richter scale. This jolted areas of both Afghanistan and Pakistan. South Waziristan operation officially approved

Friday,  a meeting held in prime minister house to talk on security situation in the country. Top civil and military commands well as the opposition parties attended this meeting. Finally, most of the opposition parties and other participants agreed to pursue the South Waziristan operation.  They all agreed that, taking down the militant leadership hiding in South Waziristan is now only way out to stop the terrorism activities taking place in the country. 90000 locals moved out fearing Army operation in South Waziristan

As Pakistan army is to pursue an operation against the militants hiding in the South Waziristan region, fearing the intense fight between Pakistan security forces and the hiding Taliban, 90000 locals have moved out of South Waziristan. The people who came out have been shifted to safe places in the Dera Ismail Khan and tank. It is expected that more people will be leaving their homes in coming soon as the air strikes and the fight on ground is going to be on peak soon. GHQ Rawalpindi operation comes to an end

On Sunday the GHQ Rawalpindi operation came to an end when the armed forces successfully freed up 39 hostages held by the militants. However three of the hostages were killed by the militants and also four of militants were killed on Sunday. For those who don’t know much of the story, on Saturday around mid day nine terrorists were entered into Army General Head Quarters, Rawalpindi.
