Huge increase in prices of Petrol and Diesel announced for first half of August 2023

The new petrol and diesel prices have been announced for first 15 days of August 2023 by the Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. Huge increase increase in the prices of Petrol and High Speed Diesel have been announced. High Speed Diesel price have been increased by Rs. 19.90 PKR per litre and the price of Petrol have been increased by Rs. 19.95 PKR per litre. Two holidays announced in Islamabad due to a delegation visit

A foreign delegation is expected to visit Islamabad from 30th of July to 1st of August 2023. This reportedly includes the vice premier of China. So it is expected that, to give the security to the delegation, several routes of city will be closed from time to time. China rolls over $2.4 billion loan for two years for Pakistan

About a week ago Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Shehbaz Sharif had announced that china have rolled over $600 million loan for Pakistan, so Pakistan do not have to make immediate payments in these testing times. Recently another development came through, as the Exim Bank of China have rolled over the overall payments of $2.4 billion USD. These were the principal loan amounts which Pakistan had to pay this year, however they have been rolled over for two years by Chinese Exim bank.
