New Zealand all team out on second day of second test against Pakistan in Karachi

Team New Zealand is on tour of Pakistan for two cricket test matches and three ODIs. Team Pakistan and New Zealand’s cricket team have already played first test match and the match was drawn between both the teams. Today was the second day of second and last test match of New Zealand’s tour of Pakistan 2022-23.

Today when the match resumed New Zealand was still playing their first innings and had scored 309 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. As the New Zealand had won the toss yesterday and played the first innings whole day. Today as they resumed, they lost few remaining wickets quickly but then tailenders supported them well. So later on the all team got out after scoring 349 runs.

These 349 runs include the epic century of Devon Conway who scored 122 runs to be exact. Tom Latham scored 71 runs, tailender Matt Henry scored 68 and tom blundell scored 51 runs. Other than that Kane Williamson scored 36, Ajaz Patel scored 35, Henry Nicholls scored 26 runs. Others either barely reached double figures or didn’t even reached there.

From Pakistan bowling side, Abrar Ahmed again was the top wicket taker, he took 4 wickets, Agha Salman took three and Naseem Shah also took three wickets. Mir Hamza and Hasan Ali did not had any luck with wicket taking, despite the fact that Mir Hamza bowled 21 overs and Hasan Ali bowled 23 overs.

Later on Pakistan was given the chance to start their first innings. Pakistan lost three early wickets, which includes a run out of Babar Azam as he was trying to run for the third run. Babar Azam scored just 24 runs. Abdullah Shafique got out on 19 and Shan Masood on 20. As the game finished for the day, Imam ul Haq was playing on 74 and Saud Shakeel on 13 runs. Pakistan overall is playing at 154 runs for the loss of 3 wickets.

Match Summary

New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first. New Zealand played through the whole first day and scored 309 runs until end of first day for the loss of 6 wickets. Next day New Zealand’s all team got out after scoring 449 runs. Abrar Ahmed was again top wicket taker with his 4 wickets. Next, Pakistan started their first innings and until the end of second day, Pakistan scored 154 runs for the loss of 3 wickets.
