Suicide attack kills 15 policemen Peshawar, Pakistan

Suicide attack in Khyber agency, Peshawar killed 15 policemen and left several injured. The incident took place when policemen gathered to break their fast in the evening. The incident took place in the residential barrack of local policemen. A man blew himself causing the police real damage, local security officials have confirmed the attack. Also told that about 15 people, most of them policemen were died in the attack. This was again an evil effort by militants who seem to lose the control of most of the areas in recent past.

United States again with Drones in Pakistani Air-Space

US drones were again seen Pakistan Airspace. They fired two guided missiles on a house in south Waziristan killing the 8 people. Also 6 more people were injured in the incident. Apparently the drone attack was intended to hit the Taliban militants in the area but US have no right to launch such attacks on Pakistani soil without the proper permission and coordination with Pakistani Government. US already have bad habit to jump into others’ problems and make thing worse. Worldcup cricket 2011 not to be hosted by Pakistan, Final Decision

Previously after International Cricket Council (ICC) had decided to move the Cricket World Cup matches to the India, Bangladesh and Srilanka, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had challenged the ICC in court. However, by recent talks both the parties have settled their dispute. After this settlement Pakistan Cricket Board will take its legal challenge back. The matches were moved out of Pakistan to other co-hosts India, Bangladesh and Srilanka due to the bad security situations in the country. According to the recent settlement still Pakistan will not be hosting the world cup matches. However they will not return the World Cup Hosting fee. Pakistan Army’s Clash in waziristan, four soldiers and nine militants died

In south Waziristan Pakistan Army came across the militants which triggered a gun battle. Four Pakistani soldiers and nine militants were killed in the incident. The clash was took place on Wednesday. The area where this fight between the Pakistan Army and militants was took place was the strong hold of Taliban militants. Operation was initiated by Pakistan Army to re secure this Taliban strong hold area. The Pakistan Army personals when attacked the area, they were backed by Army gunship helicopters.

Cabinet meeting approves more power plants for Pakistan

In Islamabad a federal cabinet meeting held, which approved 14 more power plants. This was done to cope with current energy crisis in Pakistan. Moreover, these will help government in fulfilling the promise to fully remove the load-shedding from Pakistan by the December 2009. These Plants will collectively provide the 1500 MW of electricity. About 700 MW of shortfall will still be there in December 2009, which will be fulfilled via current infrastructure. These all approved power plants will be the rental power plants meant to cope with the current electricity shortage in country and step ahead to make the country permanently clean form power load shedding.
