This topic covers how to and where to register your complaint if someone is threatening or annoying you with unnecessary phone calls or text messages from a cell phone or landline number in Pakistan. Unfortunately despite the many campaigns by PTA still there are cell phone connections/SIMs out there which are not registered to any one at all and being used or registered to wrong people other than real users. So before registering one such complaint a thought about the culprit using unregistered or incorrectly registered SIM may stop you from registering the complaint, but this not the way how things work now.
Now even if someone is annoying you from an unregistered or incorrectly registered SIM card, you can still register the complaint against the culprit and PTA will block the connection. If still the messages and calls continue from another number a proper action will be taken against the person and even if he/she is using an unregistered or incorrectly registered SIM he/she will be tracked out, reached and coped easily, all you have to do is complain with PTA on first place.
You can call at PTA’s complaint number 0800-55055 to complain against the landline or mobile number from which someone is threatening you. You can also send an email to PTA’s contact email complaint@pta.gov.pk for registering your complaint but using their toll free complaint number mentioned above is recommended for a fast response but you can still expect the email method work out for you, as it worked out for me in past.

Update:
After reading overwhelming number of comments being written to us it is necessary to make it clear that you can use above information and method to complain directly to Pakistan Telecommunication Authority but you can not make a request to us with a number to get it blocked. The reason is PTA wants the person who is being annoyed/threatened him/herself make a complaint, so we are not eligible to make complaints on your behalf. You will have to do it yourself. Hope it helps. However you are most welcome to share your experience with PTA and also can provide feedback on the response by PTA on your problem. Also if you comment on any thing related to topic you are most welcome.
Update:
This post is getting lots of comments by people requesting with their numbers and asking us to open their cell phone service. We at “Info Pakistan” have no authority to block or open any cell phone number. This is just a website which helps people with useful information about Pakistan or info which could help Pakistanis. Similarly, this post only tells you that how to file complaint with PTA if some one is annoying you with unwanted calls or threatening you over the phone. Please if your number is blocked, your SMS are not getting through or you are facing any other issue, please complain directly to PTA using contact information specified above. Also make sure you communicate with your operator or service provider before getting through to PTA.
You are most welcome to share your opinions and experiences in comments section below. However, commenting with your number and asking us to resolve your issue will not work. You have to complaint directly to PTA by calling or emailing them. Hope this helps.

Have some call records with you, i mean don’t remove them from your phone, either its calls or SMS, so you have the evidence with you.

You can always call on PTA’s number or use PTA’s email address to register a complaint against any number which is used to annoy you in any way.
PTA’s email and number both are mentioned above, only a personal complaint from your own self will be effective. Feel free to reply back or ask a question.

People must understand that if a cell phones, Landlines or any other kind of telecom company is not cooperating with them they will have to complain themselves using contact details and method given above in the post. Because PTA will require details like you NIC, they will surely ask you some questions and then will take an action if required.
You can surely post your problem here and/or post the level of response here that you got after complaining to PTA but sharing the personal Info like you cell phone numbers etc would not be much appropriate for your own good.

As mentioned in post above, you need to call PTA yourself as it would be most effective. Also they require information that you will only be able to provide yourself, however for procedure and contact info read the original post above carefully.

I am receiving abusive SMS on my cell number and the number from which I am receiving these SMS is actually registered under a website sendsms.pk. Number is openly published on the website (03364106039). I have already filed a complaint on the PTA website 15 days back but now I am receiving SMS from a different number (03314233540) and it’s send again is sendsms.pk.

Well, I have just visited and checked the website, I believe that is just the service which facilitates anybody to communicate via SMS. The fault lies with the person who is sending you the SMS using that site, you need to figure out that person.
Also in case of any further complaint you will need to directly communicate with PTA, we just offer the info here about how to do it.

I had same problems many time and contacting the the PTA helped me a lot. However it will work only if you yourself contact the PTA. As you pay for the service its your right to get it, so do complain with PTA and lineman will be at your doorstep just within 4 to 5 working days at max. I works really and PTA does their part of job well.
I am the subscriber to the 0306-4445604 cell phone number of mobilink. I subscribed on 13.1.2011 for an SMS Package on *101*1*01# I received confirmation message for a bundle of 500 message. Unfortunately, no message could be delivered. Every time I tried to send a message I received a message of SMS failure. Next day the mobilink demonstrated the same behave. Meanwhile, I found the balance exhausted and I fed Rs. 100/- to mobilink and made one or two minutes call. Later I tried to call some number but received a message of non availability of balance.
I contacted to the Mobilink Helpline who told that your balance has been exhausted for delivery of messages. I told them that I have purchased the SMS package but they refused to accept it. I checked my outbox which was empty.
It is requested that please lock my call and SMS record and check whether it is by chance or computer programme has been designed in a manner to plunder the people leaving no footsteps.

Getting phones blocked is easy, for that you have to just call/contact PTA using the contact info above in the original post, they will guide you on this.

Calling the number back is not the solution, you must call PTA using contact details/methods above, this will really help.
HOAX “MISSED” & “RECEIVED” CALLS.
The following Mobile numbers have been making numerous “Missed Calls” at different timings. Prhaps the Callers has a number of illegal Sims, and as PTA-MOBILE Coys and various agencies are after such cases. please investigate. I have complaint against Ufone. I have been using my ufone number (03333757784) since 2005 and its ownership was on my name since beginning. I could not use my number in march and April. after 2 months when i tried to use my Sim it was blocked. i went to franchise for replacement of new Sim but i was not entertained by the staff because the ownership of my number was changed. I contacted help line and talked to customer relation officer but they did not listen to me by giving reason that it is not on my name. I talked to super wiser in head office Islamabad, they entered my complaint and said i will be informed later. i contacted again but more than 20 days have been passed but they did not give me any response.
If you check it out this number was on my name since 2005. Now no one is listening to me from ufone staff.
