Day Light Saving saved about estimated 48750 megawatts of Power

Day Light Saving (DLS) time which was took in place on April 2009 by government actually saved about 250 megawatts of power daily. This rough estimate was provided by the ministry of water and power. Officials also told that one megawatt of power cost about 1 million dollar. So this way this day light saving strategy  saved about estimated 48750 million dollars this year. Clocks across the country back to normal time

Government of Pakistan had introduced the Day Light Saving (DLS) time back in April 15, 09 for this year to overcome the prevailing power shortage. Now after six and half months after the DLS time was introduced the clocks all over the country are now back to normal time. Earthquake aftershocks from the Hindu Kush range

Few days ago on Oct 23 the Hindu Kush Range observed an earthquake of 6.4 on Richter scale, as reported earlier. Now same Mountain range generating more earthquakes jolting the Pakistan and Afghanistan areas. Several of them are already felt in both Pakistan. The last one felt was the second one in 24 hours and was of 5.0 on the Richter scale. This jolted areas of both Afghanistan and Pakistan. Hindu Kush mountains are now seen some what active with earthquake stuff from few years. Update on Earthquake in Hindu Kush mountain range

Finally the correct earthquake magnitude of earthquake recoded by the Pakistan Metereological department was 6.4 instead of 6.7 reported earlier. 6.7 was the official figure reported by some news agencies but was then corrected as 6.4 on rector scale after announcement from the Pakistan meteorological department. The epicenter was 180 to 196 KM deep under the Hindu Kush mountain range.  According to the experts more after shocks are expected inside 24 hours time of initial earthquake. Earthquake was equally observed in many areas of Afghanistan as well as most of the area of Pakistan.
