PTI’s Protest held on 23 Nov 2013 in KPK Against Drone Strikes Turns Out Super Successful

Published on

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) a political party led by former cricketer, social worker and politician of the moment Imran Khan had arranged a protest for 23rd Nov 2013 against the drone attacks being held by United States on Pakistani soil. So they the protest rally was held today and tens of thousands of people showed their support for the cause by participating in the rally and it was gone real super successful.

The protest was held in order to put pressure on United States by stopping the Nato supply which essentially goes through Pakistan to the Nato forces in Afghanistan.

Pakistan does discourage the terrorism and have zero tolerance for any militant groups operating from its soil. But on same time they want the deal with the issue themselves. United States keep targeting people in Pakistan via drone strikes, which ignite the rage in people, why a country first violates the air space of Pakistan then hits the ground targets via drones which much of times also result in the killings of innocent people which have nothing do with terrorism. This also include the killings of woman and children, plus killings or innocent men in many cases. As soon as more innocent get affected by drone strikes in the country, the anger of people against United States increases, that in turn strengthen these militant groups. So drone attacks are fully counter productive.

People of Pakistan along with most of political groups want to deal with the militant groups on its soil but they demand that let us deal with them our way on our land. As drone attacks are not solving the issue, but its just forcing people turn violent specially when drone hits and kills an innocent human being.

Drones does killed some militants in near and far past but they does killed innocent people too, specially women and children. So how do you think they would react to this.

Imran Khan Led PTI along with people of Pakistan are actively protesting against the drone strikes in Pakistan, they do want an end to these drone strikes. First protesting rally was gone very much successful. Its been decided by Imran Khan with his party and People of Pakistan specially Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK – A Pakistani Province) that they will resist to drone strikes in Pakistan. These rallies according to Imran Khan and PTI would continue until United States (US) realize that they should let Pakistanis deal with any militants on their soil. They are always welcome to give any on ground logistic support by approval of Pakistani Government but drone air strikes are not productive and should stop soon.

Rest assured Pakistanis are as peace liking and  as peaceful as any other nation of world, they would eradicate any militant activity on their soil but they will be doing their own way, not via US drones which violate Pakistani airspace without approval of Pakistani government.

Published on

moon phasisAccording to the central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee headed by Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman the moon was not sighted across the country and first Ramadan will be on Thursday. Even Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) will also observe Ramadan with rest of country. KPK normally do start fasting with Saudi-arabia one day before the rest of country. But this time Imran Khan, the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the ruling party in KPK have made special effort to convince the religious leaders of KPK to observe the Ramadan along with rest of country. He also had contacted the Khateeb (leader) of Mosque Qasim which used to announced the moon sighting on unconfirmed reports. This time things went other way for good and whole country will Observe 1st Ramadan together.

So making the long story short Thursday 11th of July, 2013, would be 1st Ramadan in Pakistan and Muslims will start fasting on that date till the end of that Islamic month. Islamic month is comprised of 29 to 30 days based on next moon sighting for next month and Ramadan is followed by Eid al-Fitr.

The owner of Microsoft (the developers of windows and services like Bing Search Engine / hotmail) Bill gates today contacted Imran Khan, the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and offered his assistance for eradicating the Polio from the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Let me remind you, Pakistan tehreek-e-Insaf won elections from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa recently with most seats in the province. Also emerged as third biggest party on national scale according to seats won, right from no existence at all in last parliament. Also according to highest polled votes to any party in Pakistan elections 2013 PTI was second biggest party. This increase in confidence People of Pakistan in Imran Khan was result of charity work Imran Khan had been doing from more than a decade in form of world class cancer Hospital in Pakistan. Also Imran Khan have been a cricketer, captain of Pakistan cricket team and had won cricket world cup for Pakistan in 1992. Politically its been 17 years after he found his party but his career recently took off recently when people lost confidence in political leaders who looted the country and not resolved real problems of Pakistani people.

Cutting right to the chase, seems like world community also have good confidence in Imran Khan, its also now obvious after the contact from Bill Gates, the world’s richest man and a computer genius with out class product of windows computer operating system.

Finally I here by leave a ray of hope for people of Pakistan, you keep electing the right, educated people in elections and things will change. Just throw away in case some one makes promises in campaign for five years and then finally don’t fulfill them after they are elected.

I see the Change coming, It must not be about which leader is leading us, it must be about who is working for us, and he/she must be elected. And just few day of a person in Power tell the whole story, you don’t need to wait for years. May Allah bless Pakistan.

Pervez Musharraf endorsed Tahir-al-Qadri’s long march and called it a success

Published on

musharraf-calls-longmarch-a-successGen. (Retd) Pervez Musharraf former Army Chief and former president of Pakistan, called the Qadri’s long march a success. Main reason behind this analysis may be the strength/number of people participating in the long march. Also, the basic idea behind the long march is also a fair one, current ruling party indeed proved to be the most corrupt in the history and that also proved by many supreme court orders during the ruling period of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

Qadri basically demands the current government to not continue all the mess they are making and go for early elections. Many others like me personally would not be fan of Qadri but this time he is somewhat correct on what he is asking for. Everyone else remained silent while people were looking for one person who can lead them against current government and suddenly Qadri came onto the scene.

Now several others are endorsing the idea, Musharraf already called the long march a success and Imran Khan gone one step further by putting forward their own demands to government. If government does not respond positively then they may join or come with their own version of long march to the capital from far southern city of Pakistan.

Why political change is only hope for Pakistan

Published on

The problem I am going to discuss here is very well known to each and every Pakistani. But still there are people who knowingly or not knowingly discredit this idea of change and insist on going with people who we have been trusting in the past. As we just entered the June 2012, Pakistan is still going through the worst of its times. We are having issues of rapid shrinking economy, worst GDP growth of all times, problems of having the Power and Gas shortages, worst electricity and gas load shedding ever, lack of education, health, justice for people of Pakistan, Inflation and what not.

What current PPP government have done to relieve people of Pakistan from all their problems, in my opinion, nothing at all. I have never heard of any planning or implementation of any projects which would have solved any issue of people of Pakistan. Also PML-N is in power in Punjab, other than few bridges and a laptop scheme I have not noticed anything productive from them which could have helped the masses and solved our problems. In fact in last five years I have seen everything going worse from bad.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N), we have given them many chances, they have been in government many times, but I would insist you look back on  stats and stuff, you will not see a single long term project in terms of power, health, education or justice  which would have really helped people of Pakistan. I would not even get started on all those corruption scandals.

Not only PPP or PML-N, which other party have done something good for Pakistan in recent part, unfortunately I am not able to mention one project which could have directly helped people of Pakistan.

Now elections are again near and every party is doing whatever they can do to get popularity but I would say by looking on stats of last few decades, changes is only hope for us, we can’t take the risk of again selecting any of those people who have been ruling us any time in last couple of decades or last 25 years.

A political change will be only way to bring the positive change in the country, as soon as new and honest faces will take over, many things will start looking up for Pakistan. It is even not about being honest but it is about being capable for thinking and performing big for the country. For example, developed countries of world are discovering the far reaches of outer space by sending the space probes and by sending the gigantic telescopes in orbits around earth, the telescopes which could look billions of light years away. But we Pakistanis are still not been able to fulfill our basic needs like continuous Power, health and education facilities etc. Believe me this was all only because of incapable leadership of Pakistan otherwise this country have got intelligent/hardworking people and huge quantity of natural resources.

Some people are calling the Imran Khan the new face of change, a person could be voted in next election. Obviously, because he is politically clean, also apart from his great cricket career he also have made best and most advanced Cancer hospital in Pakistan where half of people are treated free and hospital is non profit organization. There are his other contributions to cheap quality education but lets not go there. Honestly, he could be one of faces we could look to vote in next elections. But there are people who don’t agree with this idea of change with Imran Khan, no, that is not the point. Change does only mean that have to vote in a new face who have not been seen in politics earlier and who is clean with no corruption charges. About Imran Khan or any other new face, people who have only concern about them is their lack of experience or lack of trust, I would say just go out and vote them in, because if they don’t perform we would have nothing to lose and we can move to another new face in elections next to coming elections. But in coming elections if we would reselect the people we have already tried, then believe me we will stuck in stone age and darkness for ever.

So next elections go out and vote a new face, whoever you think will be able to do good for country, because change is only hope for Pakistan.
