Earthquake aftershocks from the Hindu Kush range

Few days ago on Oct 23 the Hindu Kush Range observed an earthquake of 6.4 on Richter scale, as reported earlier. Now same Mountain range generating more earthquakes jolting the Pakistan and Afghanistan areas. Several of them are already felt in both Pakistan. The last one felt was the second one in 24 hours and was of 5.0 on the Richter scale. This jolted areas of both Afghanistan and Pakistan. Hindu Kush mountains are now seen some what active with earthquake stuff from few years. Update on Earthquake in Hindu Kush mountain range

Finally the correct earthquake magnitude of earthquake recoded by the Pakistan Metereological department was 6.4 instead of 6.7 reported earlier. 6.7 was the official figure reported by some news agencies but was then corrected as 6.4 on rector scale after announcement from the Pakistan meteorological department. The epicenter was 180 to 196 KM deep under the Hindu Kush mountain range.  According to the experts more after shocks are expected inside 24 hours time of initial earthquake. Earthquake was equally observed in many areas of Afghanistan as well as most of the area of Pakistan. Magnitude of earthquake in Pakistan on rector scale recorded 6.7

Private news channel reported according the to meteorological Department of Pakistan the magnitude of the earthquake is recorded as 6.7 on rector scale. Depth of the earthquake center was about 180-200 kilometers as compared to the sea level. According to some other news sources the magnitude of earthquake was about 6.4 on rector scale. Reminding that the previous major earthquake killed thousands of people and lots of property damage was done. So people were very much scared all over the country and immediately came out of their houses and other kind of buildings. Earthquake jolted Rawalpindi, Islamabad and other cities

Rawalpindi, Islamabad and other cities have observed an earthquake few minutes ago. We will be coming with the more information soon about the affected areas soon. On rector scale it was minimum 6.2 and latest info tells that it was observed all over the country. Update: According to the initial information from the Pakistan Meteorological Department the earthquake was 6.7 at rector scale. Update: The epicenter of the earth quake was 196 Killo-meters deep in the area of Hindu Kush mountain range. No property damage was reported occurring due to this earth quake.
