Last evening after Tahir-ul-Qadri and Imran Khan had announced going forward peacefully, Police started shelling on them and started firing the rubber bullets. Without even considering the existence of women, children and elders in the protestors, police used tear gas shells on them. During the shelling and bullets firing by police, first causality was a woman and then at least seven people were killed. More than 200 people were injured long ago and count going up as we speak.

Even on some occasions its reported that police fired real bullets which played the role in killing seven people. The plan of people was to peacefully move to the Prime Minister House, even just on a highway which goes to Prime Minister House and then just sit there with current demands. But govt used police once again and shelled on people, which include women and children specially. As soon as shelling started many children were separated from parents due chaos.

Reportedly, the shells being used are expired ones and are full of chemical gases. From six hours continues shelling is being done on protestors who were peaceful when the shelling had started.

On other hand PIMS and Poly Clinic hospital are full of injured and some injured are being discharged without proper treatment. There people need blood but police are not allowing normal citizens to access Poly Clinic and PIMS for that.

Govt have once again mishandled the situation and have acted like they are not protestors, they are army of an enemy country. This is the worst example of behavior towards Pakistani people in the history. Now all political parties, even those which had a soft corner for the ruling party PMLN, are criticizing Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PMLN) for firing and tear gas shelling on common men. Even the injured people in hospitals are now being arrested.

Tahir-ul-Qadri and Imran Khan Met Gen Raheel Sharif

After Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri had announced that Inqilab March participants will not sit idle at D-Chowk now and had extended the deadline to today, lots happened today. PTI’s Azadi March was also at a deadlock situation with government.  Fearing the violence at end of Inqilab March deadline today, Govt of Pakistan today finally registered the FIR against 21 Govt officials and Govt leaders regarding the June 2014 killings out side of Qadri’s residence in Lahore. However, as it was demanded by Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) of Dr. Qadri that FIR must be registered under Anti-Terrorism act, government have denied doing that and have excluded the anti-terror aspect from the FIR.

According to a news channel, if govt would have registered the FIR under anti Terrorism act, courts were bound to act on the case within 15 days but now matter can be delayed. As name of Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Shehbaz Sharif is included in FIR Dr. Qadri wants his resignation, plus have denied accepting the FIR without the Anti Terrorism Act. He thinks govt can very well use the delaying tactics and later on can free up the people on whom FIR have been registered.

On other hand Imran Khan is also furious, as government have not done well to accept any of his demands. His demands include the Resignation of Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif and Resignation of CM Punjab Shehbaz Sharif. He states that resign may be only of one month, just to allow the free and fair investigation of rigged Pakistan General Elections 2013. Which Imran Khan thinks is not possible with Nawaz and Shehbaz still having their Government offices.

Today both, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and PAT were on verge of violent conflict with state police and security agencies, as government is not hearing them very well. However, the prime minister (PM) of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif have played a new card and brought in the Chief of Army Staff (CAOS) General. Rahil Shareef, for negotiating with both Imran Khan of PTI and Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri of PAT.

Dr. Qadri after taking suggestions from his people of PAT given 24 more hours to government and gone to met army chief. On other hand Imran Khan also gone to met army chief. As per his speech now, Qadri showed copy of FIR to Gen. Raheel and told it was not registered as per application from his party. According to him Gen. Raheel told he will do first thing in morning is to get this FIR canceled and will make sure Registration of this FIR. Plus Qadri demands resignation of Prime Minister and Chief Minister Punjab.

Azadi March PTI and Inqilab March Stand Firm Against all the Pressures

Published on

Tens of Thousands of People at Azadi Sqare on Ninth Day of Azadi MarchIts now m0re than a week after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) have launched their Marches/Rallies against the current governing party in Pakistan on charges of rigging in 2013 elections. The rallies had started on 14th August from Lahore and Marched all the way to Islamabad.

Both involved parties including PTI of Imran Khan and PAT of Dr. Qadri are demanding resignations from Shehbaz Sharif (Chief Minister Punjab) and his brother Nawaz Sharif who happens to be current prime minister of the country. The reason is both parties want in details investigations about rigged 2013 general elections in Pakistan as well as recounting in different territories of country, however according to both parties Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif still on there seats are threat to free and fair recounting as well as investigations.

On other hand government is also standing firm, they have categorically denied giving any resignations. They have deployed several tens of thousands of policemen and other security officials on places of Azadi and Inqilab marches sit-ins. In result of pressures from other political forces Govt still have not resorted to use of power however they are doing much to make lives of march participants miserable. Two days earlier government had withdrawn the supply of water containers to March participants and told the PAT and PTI to make their own arrangements. Also ways to Sit-in spots are also blocked by using shipping containers.

Govt seem to have done great research and tried to block every big and small path towards the March Sit-in place called D-Chowk and also referred as Red Zone in context of security. But still people are able to make their way and specially in Azadi March people reach D-Chowk daily. The place where Azadi March of PTI is happening is called Azadi Sqare by PTI workers and supporters.

People participating in both marches are now facing many problems, biggest of them all is staying under open sky, too much away from homes. They have to manage their food, lots would not have a bath from days. Govt have stopped official water supply plus everyday people hear more threats from representatives of government. Still people are on firm positioning and giving message to government that they will leave Azadi and Inqilab Sqares or D-Chowk only in case government consider their demand including the Resignations of Sharif brothers as well as re-elections etc.

PTI Gives Schedule for Azadi March and decide to March in Small Groups

Published on

Pakistan’s Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) chairman Imran Khan is scheduled to leave from Lahore with other PTI leaders and supporters/participants of Azadi March after 10 am on 14th August. To stop PTI’s Azadi March Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) Led Federal and Punjab government have started arresting the workers of PTI.

But according to PTI, arresting the PTI workers will only heighten their morals and they are destined to reach Islamabad, no matter what happens. Also in last few days in every press conference and in every speech the chairman of PTI Imran Khan have repeatedly said that they have already given lots of time to government, they will not do any compromise now and PTI’s Azadi March will take place in any case whatsoever.

Also Imran Khan have reportedly told media that they are now well passed the stage of negotiations with PML-N or Nawaz Sharif, now only negotiations can happen after Azadi March reaches the capital city Islamabad. On other hand Government is moving it every part and department to stop long march. They have put countless shipping containers on all small and big highways, roads, unpaved paths and even streets in area diameter of 500 KMs all the way from Lahore to Capital city Islamabad and its twin city of Rawalpindi.

Qadri – Who’s inqilab march is taking place on same date – as well as Imran Khan and followers of both of these leaders posses the views that in constitution of Pakistan nothing stops anyone from protesting peacefully and all the efforts of current PML-N led government are unconstitutional.

Azadi March’s leaders and workers are very well prepared to remove the containers and other hurdles government have set in their way from Lahore to Islamabad. They have arranged their personal crane and other equipment which will help remove the government’s hurdles. Government have placed containers to stop roads and they time have stacked them onto each other, not only this they are filled with dirt, sand and concrete so they can’t be moved easily. Plus lots of dirt is placed around containers to increase problems of participants of Azadi March. On lots of places holes are dug on roads to slow down the Azadi Marchers. Even dirt filled shipping containers, surrounded by dirt are further surrounded by barbed wire.

PML-N have placed several hundred layers of containers and accompanying hurdles in the way of Azadi March, so the speculation wouldn’t be wrong that Azadi March and Inqilab march can take days to reach Islamabad. However, despite all these hurdles the PTI workers’ moral are high and according to Imran Khan they are destined to reach the capital city in any case.

Dunya News reports about Azadi March schedule like following.
