How to complain against cell phone operators, ISPs or landLine operators in Pakistan

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority LogoIn our country lots of times we come across the poor technical or customer support by the Cell Phone operators, Land line operator like PTCL or Internet Service Providers. At times you continuously keep getting the low quality services other than what you have expected from a service providers and complaining many times to their customer support numbers you don’t get any good response.

Well in past we had very much less choices and we always had to rely upon the customer support service of the telecom operators. But now things are lot much different, now we have the proper check and balance mechanism, if you can not getting the full value from the services you acquire, you can complain about it with Pakistan Telecommunication Authority(PTA).

PTA gets thousands of complains every week, they respond to all of them and make sure the person complaining gets the satisfactory services after the complain is processed and closed. You can register the complains online using their complain forms as well as they offer some phone numbers which can be called in order to get your complaints registered.

To get your complaint registered online use this complaint form or you can call on +92-51-9221444 or fax on +92-51-2878139. These numbers are of headquarters, you can also get the zonal numbers if required from PTA website, otherwise these must be enough to get your complains registered against any organization related to Telecom.

Update:

PTA toll free complaint number for all over Pakistan is 0800-55055, you can complain about any thing related on this number. Also you can make use of following email addresses and numbers of PTA.

For contact information about more zonal offices you can visit pta.gov.pk. However for you complain you normally don’t have to dig down to zonal office contact info, complaining to headquarter email address or phone number also works equally well.   2. I have tried to fill the form, and also followed the link given in the last paragraph above;
    but there service provider name is not available in the form, hence I am unable to submit the form.
    I need to submit complaint against PTCL poor Customer Services.

    1. Please view the post above, I have updated it with some latest contact information, this information contains PTA email addresses and telephone numbers of headquarters and zonal offices, make use of any of that information.

      I personally had such problems with PTCL and complaining to PTA actually works very well. You can send you complain on their headquarters or your related zonal office email address and you will get a very quick response. They ask immediately from PTCL or any such related company and problem gets fixed in next few days for sure.

It is becoz the user of this number had sent me immoral messages on the previous saturday on 16/10/2010 to my number 03467993676. and also challanged me of blocking the number saying that it is pakistan and no any authority/power of pakistan can block my number.

  5. I am a user of Mobilink using Phone No.0302-8566335 since 2007 as postpaid costumer through Bank Al-Falah Credit Card No. [Removed]. I visited Mobilink Costumer Centre Rasheed Plaza Blue Area, Islamabad to chnage my billing for direct billing instead of credit card in September-2009. Dues for change of service i.e. 2000/- were also deposited at that time.
    But sicne then my service has never been changed by JAZZ Indigo even no reply has so far been received till date.
    PTA is requested to take action against responsible authorities and solve my problem.

Maine apne PTCL key No.0222781311 ka 3time complaint PTCL Hyderabad main lodge karaae thi jo key un k record main b hai lekin afsos is bat ka hai meri complaint k baa-wujood na to mera number sahi kiya gaya na mujhe koi information di gaee aur complaint dated 24.02.2011 No.46 & dated 26.02.2011 ko number theek kiye baghair apne record main usko ok kardiya gaya jo k PTCL k rules ki khilaaf-warzi hai. Jab bill kii payment bhi time se pehle ki jati hai to ye PTCL Hyderabad k conserned officers & specially Line men is baat par tawajah kiyon nahi detey k kisi ka number DSL Internet bund hojaaey to us customer ka kitna Loss/damage hosakta hai….kiya ye Loss/damage PTCL rules k mutabik conserned officers/Linemen adaa kar sakte hain ya khud PTCL company ada karegi… Last main hum higher authority se request kertey hain k please PTCL Hyderabad k conserned staff ko warning issue ki jaaey k customer ko pareshan na karen aur mera Hyderabad ka land line number 0222781311 aur Internet conection ko immediately durust karen.

    1. @Haroon: thanks bro for appreciation. I will try to keep coming with lots of more topics which are useful for people of Pakistan and/or about Pakistan.

      Reference number wo hai jo company complaint number deti hai, e.g. when you complain to the ptcl after registering complain they tell you your complain number is 88 or 67 or anything like that. And you can ask them later mera complain number 67 tha mera phone theek kyon nahi howa, yeh wo number hai.

      If you don’t have that complaint number, above the reference number field you have radio buttons asking “Do You Have Operator Reference Number?*” select no, then the reference number field will go away and you will not have to reference number, on that place another field will appear asking you to enter the date when you had registered the complaint.

      Yes the select fields are broken on both forms, means its pta’s fault that forms are not correctly working at the moment.

      So you can send an email directly at complaint@pta.gov.pk explaining your problem/issue in it along with all information asked via those forms. As forms also send info to this email, so as forms not working, send direct email.

      You can also cc that email to your city’s email address of PTA, check above post for getting your city’s email for PTA. If your city not listed in those emails, just sending email to complaint@pta.gov.pk will work fine.

      Reply back, for more info and/or to give feedback on how pta responded to your complaint.

Today on 28-5-2011 I had received a phone call from telenor #0346 5506540 named Muhammad Sohail he also contacted from # 345 and #0346 2627121 and 0344 6312191 the time of calls were 1.10 pm 2.15 pm he has asked me that i had won a prize on my telenor sim # 0341 2706067 amounting to Rs.500,000 and a Gold of 12 Grams. The prerequisite was to tell him serial number and scratch number of scratch cards worth Rs.15,00 but the balance would come in to my account. he was iquiring only to verify the genuiness. i did as he said but ultimately i lost my balance of scrach cards. it is requested that necessary iquiry may got be conducted and my balance of Rs.1500 be returned to me the serial # and scrach card numbers are follows;

    1. You should call PTA, they will at least block that sim. Also never hear to claims like you have won prize. If someone says that via call, just tell them to deliver you the price, never pay a peny for that, not only this, gangs are also having frauds telling others you have won a car, then they tell your address and other info they got someway, and get money like 20-80 thousands to bring car from far places like Karachi and then get away with that money.

      In our country money once gone via fraud will never come back.

    got an sms early next morning from ufone stating that my complaint is in process and i will not be receiving any promotional sms from them after 5-7 days… and it worked.. peace at last..

  29. My complain is against the Manager Mr. Rizwan Manager Upaisa shop, Kohati Gate Branch, Peshawar City. I visited the branch at abouit 12:30 on June 18, 2014 for receipt of easy paisa. The Manager with a rude respond directed me to come after 2 pm. This gentleman was having no sense of my urgency and wastage of time etc. With this kind of trend, the easy paisa system proves useless and of no benefits to the clients. Will some one on the helm of affairs will look for some remedy in this regard.
