Previously the leader of Awami National Party (ANP) Ghulam Ahmed Bilur demanded that the current Ruhat-e-Hilal committee must be dissolved and the chairman Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman must be replaced with the Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai of Masjid Qasim Ali Khan. Bilur also called Muneeb as the product of the Musharraf age. Leader of ANP had issues with the moon sighting by Ruhat-e-Hilal Committee for Ramadan and Eid.
Responding to this Mufti Muneeb told ANP leader to stay away and mind your own business. He added that he had opposed all the un-Islamic actions of Musharraf. Also told that the 95% of Pakistanis followed the Ramdan and Eid according to his decision of moon sighting, so 170 million Pakistanis can’t be wrong.
