According to the central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee headed by Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman the moon was not sighted across the country and first Ramadan will be on Thursday. Even Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) will also observe Ramadan with rest of country. KPK normally do start fasting with Saudi-arabia one day before the rest of country. But this time Imran Khan, the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the ruling party in KPK have made special effort to convince the religious leaders of KPK to observe the Ramadan along with rest of country. On 23 March, 1940 the Muslim minority of Indo-Pak passed a resolution. The Muslims of subcontinent were having the hard time in getting the respect and rights they deserved from the ruling British and the Hindus of subcontinent who were in majority. Hindus and Muslims had so much social,cultural and religious differences, plus based on previous experiences, the Muslims of subcontinent region thought that after India will be free from the British rule, Muslim minority will be deprived from their rights and freedom, so they need to have a separate country in the areas where Muslims are in total majority. After the four provinces, now Federal government (PM Gillani) also announced the public holiday on 11 Rabi Al Awal, which is 4th of Feb 2012. The holiday is to celebrate the Eid Milad Al Nabi, to worship Allah and appreciate all the blessings. So the whole country will now be on holiday on 11th and 12th Rabi Al Awal, Saturday the 4th and the Sunday the 5th of feb 2011.
