Cabinet meeting approves more power plants for Pakistan

In Islamabad a federal cabinet meeting held, which approved 14 more power plants. This was done to cope with current energy crisis in Pakistan. Moreover, these will help government in fulfilling the promise to fully remove the load-shedding from Pakistan by the December 2009. These Plants will collectively provide the 1500 MW of electricity.

About 700 MW of shortfall will still be there in December 2009, which will be fulfilled via current infrastructure. These all approved power plants will be the rental power plants meant to cope with the current electricity shortage in country and step ahead to make the country permanently clean form power load shedding.
