Pakistani Taxi driver Asif Hussain Shah writes a book and goes online with his taxi

A Pakistani Taxi driver Asif Hussain Shah who drives his cab mainly in Rawalpindi/Islamabad and is citizen of Rawalpindi is the person who thought out of box and written a book. His book is named ‘For Hire’, the book is based on his daily experiences while driving his taxi, mostly based on experiences and thoughts he heard from passengers who traveled in his taxi.

Asif Hussain Shah not only wrote the book, he gone one step further, he used his cab as a moving bill board to advertise his book. He used the space on sides and behind his taxi to attract more buyers of his book and spread the word about himself. The painted ads on his taxi mention his book ‘for hire’ and they also tell people to search Asif Hussain Shah on Google. Though he himself don’t have any official website for himself but relies on what other people post about him on internet.
This tactic of painting ads which ask people to search about him on internet make more and more popular with more and more people taking his taxi’s pictures and uploading them on to internet. Same ads given him the media coverage as few TV channels have also covered him.
His idea of online marketing, by an offline ad and no official website to date, worked like charm and now you will find thousands of online posts covering him and his book. Not only this as he travels around more and more people take pictures of his taxi and put them online.
Asif hussain shah wrote his book ‘For Hire’ not only to have separate source of income but also to preach the good values of Islam, he points out lots of issues in this Pakistani society and how to cope with them. Following is a video captured by a TV Channel which features Asif Hussain Shah and provides his thoughts about the book. The video content consists of both English and Urdu language.
Asif Hussain’s book was the first book in Pakistan which is written by a taxi driver in Pakistan or even first in Pakistan by a person who is in a non-intellectual profession to earn his living. He proved this that anyone can write his daily experience and share them in form of a book no matter he/she belongs to which profession.
Asif hussain shah, as shown in above video still have not stopped writing, he continues to drive his taxi and continues to write while dropping the passengers on desired places in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
If you decide to read Asif Hussain Shah’s book ‘For Hire’, I will recommend that you buy it other than downloading from Internet, so he gets his share which he deserves very much.
Five US nationals caught few months ago in Pakistan now charged by court

Five individuals who born in US and their families belong to different countries traveled from US to Pakistan few months ago, they were suspected to be involved in planing the violence against local forces in problem areas of Pakistan where the militants are hiding. They were also suspected to be helping the banned extremist group in the country.
They were taken into custody in December and held into custody for long time involving the several extensions of their initial investigation period. Several individuals were busy investigating the matter and finding any proofs of weather they are innocent or not. Initial plan was to take them in custody for few days, free them up and send them back soon if they are found innocent but it didn’t happen mainly because they were found involved in some illegal activities.
Now a Pakistani have laid seven charges against them, which include the charge saying ‘these men were planning an attack in Pakistan or an allied country’ and ‘they were reaching out the Militants in problem areas of Pakistan and were going to help them financially’. Similar five more charges are laid against them.
However the men in custody fully deny all of the charges laid against them and told that they were here for some charity work in areas which are fully destroyed because of the on going clash between Pakistan security forces and the hiding militants.
Court was adjourned till 1st of March, afterwords the evidences against these suspects will be presented in the court. If the court finds them guilty, they can have the punishment ranging to the life imprisonment at maximum. In other case deporting them to United States may be taken into consideration.
US drone aircraft attacks North Waziristan killing ten people

US drone aircraft attacked North Waziristan to target militants on Tuesday. Ten people reportedly killed in the attack. The studies conducted on the US drone attacks on Pakistani areas show that these kind of attacks have not been successful to pin point the militants and one in each three killed people is an innocent civilian. Same is the reason for growing anti American sentiments in the country.
Pakistani people and Government already demanded that if US really want to make a contribution towards the restoring peace in the country by taking out militants, they must transfer the drone technology instead of taking control of things themselves on Pakistani soil and let the local forces plan and perform the controlled operations making sure that no civilians are hurt during the process.
Pakistani forces already used Jet Aircrafts to target the hiding culprits in those areas but no civilian causalities are reported in that case. Obama will have to take a decision here and will have to stop invading the country, even if he is doing this to help, there much other thing which can be done in this regard but invading the country’s airspace without the willingness of locals is not very much helpful. Also Pakistan Air force and forces are fully capable of taking any of these down easily but we Pakistanis are looking to keep the things on dialog.
On other side if US recognizes us as the front line state in war against terror or their partner in this war, they will have to respect the feelings of Pakistani Public and will have to act accordingly so that they don’t lose in our support in what they are doing in our region.
Resistance from militants continues, Pakistan security forces respond with fighter jets

In South Waziristan, which have been militants’ strong hold in Pakistan, the militant were again planning and executing some attacks. Most recent was the one which had killed 81 people by the militants. To stop them security forces again responded with an Air strike to weaken the hiding militants. Stats from Government suggest that 18 of militants were killed and three militant hideouts were completely destroyed during this air strike.
To be exact the air strike was directed towards the Ghund Mela village of Orakzai taking out many militants. Militants hiding in these areas are believed to be cause of countrywide on going violence in Pakistan, which mostly consists of explosions and bullet firings in few other cases.
In more than last one year the militants from these same areas launched many offensives and planned terror attacks countrywide and most of them were against the Security forces of Pakistan which include Pakistan Army and Pakistan Police. However in many other cases the normal public was also targeted in order to destabilize the country’s peace.
New Apple iPad changes the way we use portable computers, Apple IPad touch screen tablet pc

Apple iPad
Apple have recently introduced their new portable computer, which is called IPad. It is a touch screen computer with no physical keyboard or any kind of controls, relies only and only on its touch screen for all controls. Apple IPad is far more powerful than any previous tablet PCs, its light weight and have size equal to normal size text pad. Browsing web is much easier than any other portable device, also it features the on screen keyboard exactly equal to the size of laptop’s keyboard, so makes the documents creation and web browsing very much easy.
When talk of photos, videos and games, it deals with these all very well, photo viewing and video viewing with this little gadget is a unique experience. The real deal is that its portable and still have three times bigger screen than any other portable device. To be exact it features 9.7 inches display screen.
Another good thing is multi-touch feature which lets the user touch the screen at more than one place on screen and based on that it increases the user control. e.g. this feature is very good and be used for zooming in into the photos. Also along with this product ipad’s own SDK is launched, means a specific development environment for applications developer to develop applications only and only for this device. This will sure bring in some brilliant new applications for this device from all over the world.
Current price for IPad touch starts from USD $499 which is very much fair for new device which just dropped into the market.
